What Tegaria alerts you about
What matters and little else: when you receive a like, when there's a match, when a new opportunity compatible with your listing or your search shows up, when a message arrives, and any news about your agreements and your reviews. Waiting works on its own: no need to check in every hour.
The "Alerts" inbox
Every alert is kept inside the app, even if the phone notification never reaches you. Tap the three-line icon (☰) at the top left and choose "Alerts": there's the full history, newest first, with "Load more" at the end.
Worth knowing:
- The menu entry carries a counter of what you haven't seen yet, and it moves on its own while you use the app.
- Tapping an alert takes you there: to the chat, to the candidate's profile, to "Agreements" or to "My reviews", depending on what it is.
- Conversations don't flood your inbox: all the messages of one chat collapse into a single entry that updates with the latest one. An active chat takes one line, not fifty.
- The history exists even if you have notifications turned off, or never granted the browser permission. The settings below govern whether we interrupt you; the inbox records what happened either way.
- Alerts are kept for 90 days and then clear themselves. What they point to — your matches, chats, agreements and reviews — stays where it is: the inbox is the alert, not the content.
Where they're controlled
In the app's Settings:
- "Push notifications" — the phone or browser alerts. The switch belongs to your account, not to the device: turn it off and every phone of yours goes quiet at once, not just the one in your hand.
- "Email notifications" — the ones that arrive by email. There's a section further down, "Which emails we send", with the detail.
- Alert frequency — the "At most one alert every 4 hours" brake: on, it groups alerts so we're not a nuisance; "When off, you receive every alert right away".
- "Alert me when something I discarded drops its price" — off out of the box. A listing you discarded comes back to your queue on its own if it drops at least 10% below what you already rejected; with the switch off that happens quietly, with no notification and no inbox entry. Turned on, you get both — how a discard comes back.
Both switches govern delivery, never the history: with them off, your alerts still show up under "Alerts" when you come back. The only switch that decides whether an alert exists at all is the last one, about price drops.
Which emails we send
Tegaria writes rarely, and almost always for a specific reason:
- When you finish creating your account, a welcome email. It's the only one sent once in a lifetime.
- When we couldn't reach your phone. This is the safety net: if the app isn't installed on any device — because you use Tegaria from the browser, say — what would have been a notification reaches you by email instead. It covers messages, likes, matches, new opportunities and news about an agreement.
- When your identity verification is approved.
Two things that spare you surprises:
- At most one email a day of each kind. Twenty messages will not become twenty emails: the first one of the day tells you, and the rest waits for you in the app. And if the app is installed and working, we don't write: that's what the notification is for.
- Emails about restrictions on your account always arrive, even with "Email notifications" off. They are communication we owe you — what happened, until when, and how to appeal — not product alerts, so they don't hang off a switch.
Product alerts come from notificaciones@tegaria.com and everything else (support, account, restrictions) from info@tegaria.com. You can reply to either: a person reads them.
If they don't arrive
- Check the "Alerts" inbox first (☰ → "Alerts"): if the alert is there, you've missed nothing — what's failing is the notification, not the system.
- System permission: the browser or the phone must allow notifications from app.tegaria.com. If you once said "no", enable it in the browser settings (address-bar padlock → Notifications) or in the app settings on Android.
- Tegaria settings: check that "Push notifications" is on in Settings.
- The chosen frequency: with the 4-hour brake on, several alerts in a row arrive grouped — that's expected, not a bug.
- Email: check the spam folder, and search for both addresses — notificaciones@tegaria.com and info@tegaria.com — not just one. And remember email is the safety net for people without the app: if you have it installed and working, the normal thing is that you receive no alert emails.
If after checking everything nothing arrives, tell us.
