Changing your mind about a candidate

Passing isn't final — you have 7 days
If you pass on a card (swiping it left or with the "Discard" button), it doesn't disappear: you can bring it back for 7 days. After that the pass is archived and the card stops showing on your board.
You have two ways to change your mind, from the quickest to the latest.
1. Right away: the "Undo" toast
Just after passing, a message appears — "Discarded. You can recover it for 7 days." — with an "Undo" button. One tap and the card comes back as if nothing happened. It's the easiest path, because it catches the mistake where it's made.
2. Later: the "Recover" button
Your board's bar has a "N decisions you made" counter. Tap it and you'll see only what you sent and what you discarded, with the reminder that discards can be recovered for 7 days. That's where each discarded card's "Recover" button lives. The same button is also on the full profile, in the spot where the heart normally sits, in case you'd rather look it over before deciding.
Either way your opinion goes back to pending, not to a like: the card returns to "To decide" and you choose again from scratch. Recovering is free and doesn't require a verified identity; liking again afterwards does — how it works.
Undoing a like or a match is a different thing
The three-dot menu (⋮) — on the card it's on the right, next to "I'm interested" and "Discard"; on the full profile it's at the bottom right, next to the heart — has "Undo my opinion". That option is for when your like is "Sent" or when there's a match. It doesn't show for a discard: that one's path is "Recover", which says where the card goes back to.
If you let the 7 days pass
The discard is archived: the card leaves your board and you can no longer recover it from the app. It isn't a punishment — it's what keeps your board showing only what you actually have to decide on.
Your "no" is remembered: the system doesn't propose that person with that same listing again just because. There is a single exception, and it's the one below.
If the price drops, it can come back
A listing you discarded comes back on its own to your "To decide" queue if its price really drops. It's the only thing that reopens a discard, and it works whether the card is still on your board or was already archived.
When it comes back
- Only the price, and only downwards: at least 10% below the best you already rejected. It isn't compared with yesterday's price, but with the lowest one you already said no to. If a flat at €1,000 drops to €900, it comes back; if it drops to €950, it doesn't.
- Dropping, raising and dropping again to the same price brings nothing back. We remember the best you rejected, so the same old price doesn't count as news however much it moves around.
- Nothing else reopens it: not the dates, not the rooms, not the floor area, not the photos, not the title or the description. Editing a listing's text doesn't bring it back to anyone.
- It only happens with listings, which are the only things with a price. If what you discarded was someone's search profile, it doesn't come back on its own.
- It still has to fit you. If by then you've changed your filters and the listing no longer matches your search, it doesn't come back.
How it comes back
Quietly and undisguised. It reappears in your "To decide" queue with the context in front of you, so you know in one second why you have it again:
You discarded this listing on 3 March · The price dropped from €1,050 to €850
We never present it as a fresh suggestion. It's your own decision, reopened.
How to stop it for good: "Don't suggest this to me again"
On that same card, next to the context, you have "Don't suggest this to me again". One tap does both things: it discards the card and no price drop will ever bring it back, however big.
Three things worth knowing:
- It's invisible to the other person and doesn't cut off the chat. It isn't a block or a report, and nothing reaches them. It's a preference of yours.
- It can be undone, with the "Undo" in the toast or by recovering the card while it's still in your decisions queue (7 days). Recovering it clears that mark too.
- After that it's permanent, because the card has been archived and nothing is touched there any more.
If what you want is to stop seeing anything from that person — not that listing and not the others — that's a different thing: it's called blocking, and it is explained in stop seeing someone.
Will you tell me? Only if you ask
No. By default, when a discard comes back you get no phone notification and no entry in the "Alerts" inbox: the card shows up in your queue and that's it. If you'd rather know, the app's Settings have a switch, "Alert me when something I discarded drops its price", off out of the box.
Discarding it again raises the bar
If the card comes back and you decide you're still not interested, discard it again as usual: it costs you nothing. What happens is that from then on the bar goes up — next time the price would have to drop another 10% from the new price. Every return demands a real drop, bigger than the last one, so this can't turn into pestering.
If there's already a match
Undoing with a match undoes the match for both of you: your like becomes pending and you stop appearing as a match. If you like each other again later, the match comes back.
Once a conversation has started, the way out is closing it
As soon as a match's chat has its first message, "Undo my opinion" disappears from the menu and you can't discard the card either: either one would close the conversation for both of you without explanation. Instead, the card's buttons become "We have an agreement" and "No agreement": the proper way to end a conversation, with or without a deal — agreements and closing conversations.
If you closed without an agreement by mistake, you have a few days to tap "Undo" on the "Ended" card and recover the match (only the person who closed can undo it). And for serious cases you still have "Block" and "Report" in the three-dot menu (⋮) — how they work.
