# What is Tegaria and how it works

> Room rental by affinity: verified profiles, the double like, and chat only when you've both said yes.

## In one sentence

Tegaria connects landlords and tenants who truly fit: each side says what they offer or what they're looking for, the system crosses compatible listings and searches, and **the chat only opens when both have liked each other** (the double like). No spam, no giving out your phone or email before you're ready, and with every user's identity verified.

## How it works, in three steps

1. **Create your profile**: your listing if you're renting out a room, your search if you're looking for one (area, budget and living preferences).
2. **Like** what fits: the system only shows you options compatible with your criteria.
3. **Match and chat**: when interest is mutual the chat opens, you talk and you close the rental.

One account does it all: tap the three-line icon (☰), top left, and choose "Landlord mode" or "Tenant mode" to switch whenever you want.

## Where it works

Tegaria runs in any browser, nothing to download: go to app.tegaria.com from your phone or computer. Available in Spanish and English — switch from that same ☰ menu, with "Change to Spanish" / "Change to English".

## What it costs
