# Invisible mode

> How to publish your room without a public listing: only candidates you like first can see it.

## What it is

When creating or editing your listing you can turn on the option "Invisible mode: Requires me to see the candidate's profile first and \"like\" it". With it, your listing **doesn't appear in anyone's searches**: you see the list of compatible candidates and, only when you like one, that person can see your listing and decide whether to like you back.

## What it's for

- Renting discreetly: nobody around you stumbles upon your listing.
- Full control of first contact: you choose who gets to see it.

## The trade-off

Less reach. Since nobody can find you on their own, all movement depends on the likes you give. If you're getting few candidates or you're in a hurry to rent, turn it off and let the listing appear to compatible searches.

Besides, a listing in invisible mode can't be [shared with its public link](https://tegaria.com/en/help/share-your-listing): the card's share icon disappears while the mode is on.

## How to turn it on or off

Tap your listing's card on your panel to open its form, tick or untick the "Invisible mode…" option and save. You can change it anytime at no cost.
