Account & Data Deletion

Important. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your account in the Tegaria application (app.tegaria.com). The process is free and voluntary. When you delete your account your profile is anonymised; for fraud-prevention and legal reasons, certain information is retained, as detailed below.

What data is deleted or anonymised?

When you delete your account, Tegaria erases your identifying data and anonymises your profile. Specifically:

• Your profile is anonymised: your name, photo, email, phone and identity document are erased.
• In your matches and conversations your identity is unlinked (your name is shown as «Deleted user»); message content is kept without being linked to you.
• Your saved search preferences and configured filters are deleted.
• Reviews you wrote are anonymised (your authorship is unlinked); their content is kept.
• Any other personal data linked to your account that does not need to be kept for the reasons in the next section.

What data do we retain, and why?

For fraud prevention, community safety or legal obligations, Tegaria retains —for as long as necessary for those purposes— certain information:

• Your verification identity (biometric/KYC data), held by the verification provider, to prevent a deleted or blocked account from re-registering or creating duplicate accounts (legitimate interest in fraud prevention and the exception in Art. 17.3 GDPR).
• The block and report records associated with your account, together with security logs, to protect other users from fraud and misuse.
• Legal audit records (for example, acceptance of the terms), for legal compliance, and your reputation (reviews received) in anonymised form.

Anonymised or aggregated data that no longer identifies you may be kept indefinitely. Information retained for fraud prevention is kept while that purpose remains; once the applicable period expires, it is permanently deleted.

Option 1 — Delete your account from the app

The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the Tegaria application:

Access directly at app.tegaria.com.

Option 2 — Request by email

If you cannot access the app, send an email to info@tegaria.com with the subject line «Account Deletion» and include:

• The email address linked to your Tegaria account.
• Your username or profile identifier (if you remember it).
• A brief statement that you wish to delete your account and all your data.

We may ask you to verify your identity before proceeding, in order to protect your privacy and prevent fraudulent requests.

Response time

Tegaria will process your request within a maximum of 30 calendar days of receipt, in accordance with Article 12 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

You will receive a confirmation email once the process is complete.

Other rights over your data

In addition to the right to erasure, you have other rights (access, rectification, portability, restriction or objection) which you can exercise as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with the regulations, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at www.aepd.es.
